I have worked at North Johnston Middle School for 22 years and  I taught my first year at Four Oaks Middle. I graduated from North Johnston High School in 1989 and East Carolina University in 1993 with a degree in Middle Grades Education ( Language Arts & Social Studies). I have taught 8th grade for my entire career except last year I moved to 7th grade language arts .  I have been married to my high school sweetheart,Tooie, for 21 years and we have 3 children -Holden -Junior  at East Carolina, Gabby- 11th grader at North Johnston and Wyatt 8th grader at NJMS.


    2019-20 Schedule

    Classes begin at 7:40 and students are released at 2:44


    Advisory- 7:40-7:50

    Block 1- 7:50-8:54

    Block 2- 8:57-10:02

    JAG TIME- 10:05-10:50

    Block 3- 10:53-12:30 ( Lunch 12:00- 12:30)

    Block 4- 12:33-1:37- Enhancements ( 7th grade hall planning)

    Block 5- 1:40-2:44

  • Pop Tab Collection

    The REACH OUT Club will be collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. The money raised from recycling these tabs helps provide a temporary home away from home for the families of sick or injured children. A drop off box is located in the front office.

  • Fall Pictures

    Fall pictures will be taken on Thursday, September 19th. These will be pre-paid only. Packets will be sent home with students in advance. All students are scheduled to have their picture taken for yearbook purposes.

    The Johnston County Education Foundation has changed its grant process from a three cycle a year process, to a once a year process. The grant deadline will now be November 15th each year and Grant Patrol will be held on the first Wednesday of December.
