I have worked at North Johnston Middle School for 22 years and  I taught my first year at Four Oaks Middle. I graduated from North Johnston High School in 1989 and East Carolina University in 1993 with a degree in Middle Grades Education ( Language Arts & Social Studies). I taught 8th grade for my entire career except for last year I moved to 7th-grade language arts.  I have been married to my high school sweetheart,Tooie, for 21 years and we have 3 children -Holden -Junior at East Carolina, Gabby- 11th grader at North Johnston and Wyatt 8th grader at NJMS.

  • Summer Meal Service begins June 1

    As the school year comes to a close, please note that JCPS meal service will now operate at 9 sites during the summer months, rather than the previous 14. Summer meal service will begin Monday, June 1. Curbside meals will be served Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Benson Middle, Clayton Middle, Four Oaks Elementary, North Johnston Middle, Princeton Elementary, Selma Elementary, Smithfield-Selma High, West Clayton Elementary, and West Smithfield Elementary.

  • Graduation Plans Announced

    JCPS high schools will host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies between Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - Saturday, August 1, 2020. Schools will communicate about specific graduation dates and ceremony times as we get closer to see what restrictions may limit our attendance participation.
