Mr. Johnny Capps

I am one of the three Agriculture Education teachers/ FFA Advisors at North Johnston High.  I have been teaching Horticuture for 34 years and have been at North Johnston for the past 27 years.  I have a passion for teaching young people and seeing them mature into outstanding young adults.  I love working with plants and being in the outdoors.  I grew up and reside in the Rains Crossroads area.  I have two daughters that are married and one granddaughter and one grandson.  I have been married to my wife for 34 years.  My hobbies include plants, saltwater fishing, and softball.   I am a Christian and attend Rains Crossroads Original Free Will Baptist Church and would welcome anyone to come and share a pew with me!!

  • 2023 Student and Family Survey Information

    Johnston County Public Schools is committed to building well-rounded students and consistently improving our schools for greater student success. JCPS is participating in an opportunity to gather feedback on how we can better meet our goals of improving student success.  We are aware that families may want to preview the questions that will be asked of their students, and have prepared copies of the questions that will be asked.

  • New Wellness Opportunity for JCPS Students, Staff, and Families

    Johnston County Public Schools is committed to the health, safety, and well-being of our students, staff, and families. With that in mind, we are excited to announce to you our partnership with Care Solace, a mental health care coordination service.

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
