Mrs. Yorke Johnson
My name is Yorke Johnson. I live in Benson with my husband Thomas and our four children, Lily (7), Charley (4), Isaac (1 year), Anna (1 year)! I attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for my bachelor degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree in Reading Education from N.C. State Universary. I am excited for the opportunity to serve Meadow School as Teaching and Learning Coach!
Lunch on 12/17 will be chicken nuggets, chicken pastry, or turkey and cheese sandwich. Corn and baked potato, and pinapple tidbits will also be served. Lunch on 12/18 will be tornados, chicken fajita, or cheese bread sticks. Black beans, broccoli and cheese, and apples will also be served.
Our Kindergarten classes will have their Thanksgiving Program in the gym at 1:00 on Friday, November 16th. We hope to see many parents in attendance. Our students and their teachers work very hard preparing for this event. This is always a cute performance. :)
The week of Oct. 21st is Red Ribbon Week, which is a special week celebrated each year during the last full week of October. The purpose of Red Ribbon Week is to bring awareness to the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, and to encourage good decisions and healthy lifestyles.
