I have taught at Meadow for 28 years.
I have 2 boys. The youngest attends Lenoir Community College and plays baseball. The oldest one attends UNC-Chapel Hill.

First Grade Supply List
*2 packs of pencils (12 pack) We recommend #2 yellow pencils.
* erasers (1 pack)
*2 one subject notebooks
*2 Boxes of 24 or less crayons
*4 large glue sticks
*1 pair of scissors with stainless steel blades
*Pencil box
*2 large boxes of tissues
*1 pack of dry erase markers with eraser on cap
*box of band-aids
*1 pair of headphones
*Change of clothes (This is a must!) Please put clothes in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name on the bag.
Please put all of your child’s supplies in a large Ziploc bag with your child’s name on the bag.
Wish List Items: hand sanitizer, baby wipes
Some items may need to be restocked after Christmas.

Fall Festival Has Been Canceled
Our Fall Festival for Friday, Nov. 5th has been canceled due to weather. We will plan an event for the spring. The drawing for our raffle will still take place on Friday.

2023 Student and Family Survey Information
Johnston County Public Schools is committed to building well-rounded students and consistently improving our schools for greater student success. JCPS is participating in an opportunity to gather feedback on how we can better meet our goals of improving student success. The Johnston County Board of Education approved the 2023-2024 Traditional Staff and Student Calendars at their March Board of Education meeting.

New Wellness Opportunity for JCPS Students, Staff, and Families

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
