3/16/20 Update: Please don't worry about our incubating eggs - I will retrieve the incubator from the classroom tomorrow morning (3/17/20) when the school opens briefly and take them to the county Extension office to complete incubation and hatching. The chicks will go to the 4-H families that would have received them anyway. If it is possible, we will reschedule the embryology project with a new round of eggs. In the meantime, the awesome 4-H program staff will have a live video of hatching the eggs on Monday, March 23 on their facebook page. Just search "Johnston County 4-H"
Welcome back to an exciting new year at MXMS! I strive to provide a positive, effective learning environment for all students in room 802 and look forward to working with all my students and their parents!
I am a graduate of North Carolina State University, with a B.S. in Animal Science and a Master's in Animal Science with a minor in Agricultural & Extension Education and a post-Master's degree certification in Agricultural Education for middle and high school.
I joined the McGee's Middle staff in August 2014 and teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade elective Agricultural Science courses as part of the Career & Technical Education department of Johnston County Public Schools. I deem it a privilege to share my passion for agriculture with my students.

High school courses taken in middle school will follow the grading presented for high school students. Students will have a choice of PC19 or a numeric grade for the Spring semester grade. Students enrolled in these courses should complete the form to decide their grade.
Attention parents of 4-year-olds: Are you interested in your child attending a free preschool program? The NC PreK program is designed to provide 4-year-old children with positive early learning experiences that support their development and prepare them for Kindergarten.
High school students and middle school students enrolled in high school courses will be given an option on how their grade appears on their transcript. Students should complete the form for their school to make their choice.
JCPS high schools will host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies between Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - Saturday, August 1, 2020. Schools will communicate about specific graduation dates and ceremony times as we get closer to see what restrictions may limit our attendance participation.
