Welcome to my website. I am John Krol. I currently live in Clayton with my wife and 5 boys. I am entering my 17th year of teaching in Johnston County. I have taught Math, Science and Social Studies. I am currently the Head Football and Baseball Coach at Swift Creek Middle School. I grew up in Ohio and moved to North Carolina in 2003. I graduated from Clarion University in Pennsylvania.

Our class will be studying Lab Safety, Atmosphere and Weather, Cells, the Human Body, Genetics, and Physics this year. Students are being invited to Google Classroom today. We will be doing quite a bit of our classwork on Google Classroom

Google Classroom for students:
Students will be invited to the Google Classrooms for their class, by Friday, August 14th. This will have our Google Meet code posted prior to our Meet on Monday, August 17th.
Johnston County Public Schools will hold a Virtual Job Fair on Wednesday, April 21. The event will be held in a Zoom Conference format from 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Candidates will have the opportunity to meet with various school principals about career opportunities in each of the district’s 47 schools.
New guidance given to schools in the Strong Schools NC Public Health toolkit states that daily temperature and symptom screening questions prior to entry are no longer required. We will no longer screen individuals who enter JCPS facilities for COVID-19 symptoms. This begins on Monday, April 5 for all staff and on Monday, April 12 for students upon their return from spring break.
At a special called session on March 22, the Johnston County Board of Education voted to return students in grades 6-12 on Plan A. Effective April 12, any student who is currently receiving face-to-face instruction will attend every day except Wednesdays, which will continue to be used for deep cleaning and sanitizing.
The online application for the Johnston County Public Schools Preschool Program is now available. Parents who are interested in the JCPS Preschool Program are encouraged to apply early, as availability is on a first come, first served basis. The application window closes on June 30th.
