Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! Welcome to Fabulous First Grade! My name is Mrs. Todd, and I will be your teacher this year! Mrs. Bowden will be our assistant. Our class will be a HOOT this year in Room 503. We are so excited to have you in our class!
This year is going to be an amazing adventure while we have fun learning and growing together. I am thrilled to be your teacher!! You won’t believe how much FUN we will have along the way.
I think it is very important for us to work together as a family. We will be spending a lot of time together this year and will treat each other with respect, kindness and compassion. I know that each of you have a different brain. That means that you think and learn differently. It is my job as a teacher to help you grow as a learner.
I am excited to learn all about you, but first I will tell alittle about myself. I have lived in North Carolina for 20 years. I have taught kindergarten and first grade here at McGee’s. I am married and have two amazing children. Sara is 12 and is going to middle school. Sara is a softball player. Seth is 8 and going into third grade. Seth has started playing soccer this year. My kids keep me very busy at the ball field each evening! We have three crazy dogs. I will be telling you lots of funny stories about my kids and dogs this year.
Here are a few of my favorite things:
Color: Teal & Brown
Food: Italian (lasagna,pizza, pasta)
Author: Jan Brett, Karen Kingsbury
We will be developing a GROWTH MINDSET this year. **Please think of three things you CAN do and one thing you can not do YET. You will make a picture for our bulletin board with these items.
