 Welcome to 5th Grade!

I want to start off by saying I am so excited about teaching your child SCIENCE...one of my favorite subjects.  We are going to have a fantastic school year!!

About Me:

I grew up here in Johnston County (Benson).  I attended Benson Elementary School for K-8 then South Johnston High School.  I attended the University Of North Carolina in Wilmington for my teaching degree.  I received my National Board Certification in 2012.  I'm married and have two wonderful daughters.  I've been at McGee's since the school opened in 1998 (my first year of teaching).  I completed my student teaching in Sampson County in grade K, and I have taught 4th, 5th, and 2nd grades here at McGee's.  I taught 2nd grade here for 12 years.  I am very excited about being back in 5th grade for the 2019-2020 school year to teach Science!
