Mr. Edwin Hall
I'm excited about being your second grade teacher!
I am originally from New Paltz, which is in upstate New York. I met my wife while we were both in college, and we just celebrated our 30th anniversary. We decided to move to NC because of the climate and also because we both wanted teaching positions. I began teaching 5th grade at McGee's 16 years ago, where I stayed for 9 years before switching to Second Grade. My wife also teaches and has been a Kindergarten teacher for sixteen years. We have three children that keep us very busy.
My interests include cheering for my NFL team (the Dallas Cowboys), traveling with my family, and hiking the Appalachian Trail. I also enjoy walking the local trails and playing fetch with my chocolate Lab, Java.

This is my seventeenth year teaching at MCES and I'm looking forward to having another great year. Together we will learn by having fun and working hard. Our classroom environment will be structured with consistency and clear expectations. I will expect every student’s best effort at all times as we learn together in a fun, safe, and challenging environment.
As your child’s homeroom teacher, I will be teaching science, math, social studies, and literacy. We will work very diligently to ensure that your child receives the individualized attention that s/he needs to be successful in second grade. Please feel free to contact the school at any time to discuss your child and his/her progress.
Sincerely,
Mr. Hall
