Mrs. Betty Buchanan

My name is Betty Buchanan and I'm currently teaching 4th grade Literacy and Social Studies.  This is my 17th year teaching.  I'm a native of Johnston County and graduated from South Johnston High School and UNC Chapel Hill.  I live in Benson with my husband Brian, my 2 children, Benjamin and Brianna, and our 2 cats, JJ and Turbo.   This year, I am team teaching with Mrs. Smith.  I will be teaching Literacy (Reading, LA, Writing, Spelling) and Social Studies. Mrs. Smith will be teaching Math and Science. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing the piano, and cross-stitching.
