BS in Elementary Education with concentration in History from East Carolina University

Mrs. Amanda Carroll

Hi families! My name is Amanda Carroll.  I am orginally from the Boston area and moved to Clayton, NC when I was 7 years old.  I graduated from Clayton High School.  After high school, I attended East Carolina University where I earned my education degree with a concentration in history.  I've been teaching at McGee's since 2005.  I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.  I have two children, a teenager and a preschooler.  My son is in high school at West Johnston and my daughter keeps us all on my toes, but she cannot wait until next fall when she gets to go to Kindergarten. My family also includes our dogs Gronk and Uhtred and our cats Katniss and Binx. I am a huge football fan always rooting for my favorite team the New England Patriots and I love reading books. I also enjoy watching movies and shows on Netflix with my family on the weekend.  We enjoy trips to Walt Disney World.  I enjoy teaching and hope my love for learning is evident to my students.
