Hello!  Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!  My name is Tania Taylor and I am a Social Studies teacher at Johnston County Early College Academy.  It is my absolute pleasure to absolute pleasure to work with the BEST students in Johnston County, NC.  I am a long time resident of Johnston County and I have been a teacher for several years in North Carolina.  My teacher love is High School and I adore the high school student.  I take special efforts in my Social Studies classes to not only teach the political, social, economic, and cultural events of the past but to make them relevant to our current world to help students understand that history is an active subject.

  • Johnston County Board of Education Approves Calendar Change

    The Johnston County Board of Education approved a calendar change for the JCPS school calendar at their March 9 meeting. The change moves the Wednesday, March 24, remote learning day to Friday, March 26 for all schools except for North Johnston High School, which will have remote learning days on March 24 and March 26.

  • Social Media Use and Non-Credible Threats

    We are sharing information regarding non-credible threats made against several of our high school campuses today via social media. It is important to our district to notify our families of anything that may cause widespread concern.

  • JC BOE votes to require masks for all JCPS students and staff

    At their August meeting, the Johnston County Board of Education voted 4-3 to make face coverings required indoors in all Johnston County Public Schools campuses and on all buses for students, staff, and guests. This updated mask requirement is effective immediately.

  • 2021-2022 JCPS Preschool applications now open

    The online application for the Johnston County Public Schools Preschool Program is now available. Parents who are interested in the JCPS Preschool Program are encouraged to apply early, as availability is on a first come, first served basis. The application window closes on June 30th.
