Ms. Sandra R. Standley
My name is Ms. Standley and I am thrilled to work with you this year. I look forward to a happy and fun semester. Here's a little information about me: I teach English and English electives. I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I am the proud owner of a little dog (Oscar). I love reading, knitting, watching movies and stage performances, and most of all: eating. My favorite foods are rice and ramen. And again, I hope that English will be exciting and lovely for us all this year. See you soon!

We use Canvas for our classroom activities and needs.
It is already connected to your Classlinks. The textbook will be physical but also online too.
Welcome to English 2!
North Carolina schools are required to administer ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 to all students identified as English Learners (ELs) in the spring of each year to determine their progress in learning English. Each student is tested in four areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. This assessment helps us monitor their English language development.
The Johnston County Board of Education is now accepting applications for the Johnston County Community College Board of Trustee position. The deadline to apply for the vacancy is Friday, February 17, 2023.
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
