Ms. Sandra R. Standley

My name is Ms. Standley and I am thrilled to work with you this year.  I look forward to a happy and fun semester.  Here's a little information about me:  I teach English and English electives.  I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.  I am the proud owner of three bunnies and a little dog.  I love reading, knitting, watching movies, and most of all: eating.  My favorite foods are rice and ramen.  And again, I hope that English will be exciting and lovely for us all this year.  See you soon!

  • I am looking forward to working with you all this semester!  I know we are starting off uniquely, but I will do my best to meet all of our needs.  Thank you for taking English 2 with me and I hope that we have a great time learning indepth English content and skills even if it is virtually for the time being at least.  Please join the correct English 2 course you have been assigned to.  Here are my Google Classroom Codes:

  • Updated Social Distancing Procedures

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
