Mr. John Owen
Hello and welcome! I have been teaching in Johnston County since August, 2006. After graduating from Purdue University, I moved down south and, like everyone else, never left! After 8 years at Riverwood Middle School, I have now been teaching at Cleveland High since 2014.
Along with teaching Civics and Economics, I have coached football for many years. Once my wife and I had our two children, I stopped coaching football, but have continued as the mens golf coach in the Spring.
As we start the Fall 2020-2021 schoolyear, there are a number of items that are changing everyday as we prepare. But, one thing I do know is that we are going to be using Google Classroom as our platform for information. We will also be using Google Meets for our face-to-face instruction time online.
Feel free to join your Google Classroom. You'll find a quick survey on there to please take, mostly about your previous online learning experience.
