Mr. John Owen

Hello and welcome! I have been teaching in Johnston County since August, 2006. After graduating from Purdue University, I moved down south and, like everyone else, never left! After 8 years at Riverwood Middle School, I have now been teaching at Cleveland High since 2014.

Along with teaching Civics and Economics, I have coached football for many years. Once my wife and I had our two children, I stopped coaching football, but have continued as the mens golf coach in the Spring.

  • Updated 1/4/2021:

As we start the Spring 2020-2021 schoolyear, there are a number of items that are changing everyday as we prepare. But, one thing I do know is that we are going to be using Google Classroom as our platform for information. We will also be using Google Meets for our face-to-face instruction time online.

    Google Clasroom

All students have received their invitation to Google Classroom via email before Christmas Break. If you did not receive an email with the invitation to the Google Classroom, please email me to let me know. Thank you.
