Ms. Carol Ann Redfield

My name is Lieutenant Colonel Carol Ann Redfield and I am the Senior Army Instructor for the Cleveland High School JROTC program. I am a 1988 graduate of the United States Military Academy and I retired from the Army after 20 years of service in December 2008.  I have been teaching here at Cleveland High School since it opened and my last job in the Army I was the Professor of Military of Science and Leadership in charge of the Army ROTC program at NC State University. I am the proud mother of two great kids, Maggie and Trey. Maggie just graduated from the United States Military Academy and commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army. Trey is a rising sophomore at Syracuse University in New York. He is majoring in broadcasting and digital communications and dreams of being on ESPN. In addition to my bachelor of science from West Point I am a certified group fitness instructor and teach fitness classes and coach swimming in the local area on my free time. I enjoy teaching the cadets in the JROTC program to be better citizens and assisting them in their efforts to excel in the classroom and in their future. I am huge supporter of establishing a healthy and fit lifestyle early so that it can be part of your tool kit for success for a lifetime. JROTC promotes community service as part of the learning experience and leadership development is the cornerstone of our program.

  • Updated Social Distancing Procedures

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
