Mrs. Susan Saunders

My name is Susan Saunders. This is my 19th year of teaching.  I taught in a regular classroom for twelve years teaching kindergarten - third grades. I taught technology to kindergarten - fifth graders for the past six years.  I have been married for thirteen years and we have a two year old little girl. We are from Clinton, NC but we now live in Clayton, NC.   We like spending time together, with our family, friends, and our boxer. We enjoy traveling especially to the beach.  I like staying active by playing sports and running.  I also love watching sports especially college basketball!! I enjoy eating sweets, Italian food, and seafood.

  • JCPS Outdoor Mask Mandate Lifted

    While face masks are still required in all of our indoor facilities, students, staff, and guests of our campuses are no longer required to wear a face covering when outdoors. Students and staff may continue to wear masks when participating in recess or outdoor activities if they choose to do so.

    The online application for the Johnston County Public Schools Preschool Program is now available. Parents who are interested in the JCPS Preschool Program are encouraged to apply early, as availability is on a first come, first served basis. The application window closes on June 30th.

  • JCPS releases updated graduation and prom details

    Johnston County Public Schools has updated its plan to mark senior milestones, including prom and graduation while adhering to guidance from the Johnston County Public Health Department and the CDC in regards to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

    The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return Pre-K - 5th grade to Plan A, four days per week, beginning on Monday, March. 1.
