Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!
I am excited to be joining the 5th grade team this year! A little about myself: This is my 10th year at Glendale-Kenly and feel like this is my home away from home. I graduated from NC State with a Masters in Elementary Education Teaching in 2011, and a Bachelor's in Business from Wesleyan College in 2000. Just this year, I was accepted into the NC State Principal Fellows program, and began working on my second Master's degree in May and hope to graduate in 2022. On a personal note, I've been married to my wonderful husband for 33 years, and have 2 daughters and 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. We live on a 31 acre farm in Kenly and raise Pigs, Chickens, Turkey's, Guineas, Rabbits, Ducks and Goats.
You may reach me at: email@example.com or call at 919-284-2821, X3233.
Every JCPS parent was to fill ou the Second Semester Choice form to choose either the Virtual Program OR face-to-face instruction for each of their students by Monday, Nov. 30. If you were unable to fill out the form by Nov. 30 please contact your child's school for assistance. The form was to be filled out for ALL students in grades PreK-12.
We are offering a new opportunity for our families this winter break. Parents are invited to sign up to receive holiday meal kits that will be distributed from all of our high school sites. Each meal kit will include seven days of packaged breakfast and lunch meals per child.
Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
