Mrs. Pate

Welcome to Second Grade!!!

Mrs. Pate:

I am a native of Wayne County.  In 2015, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education.  I have been a Tar Heel all my life and love cheering for the Heels!  This is my fifth year teaching at GKE.  I taught kindergarten for four years, and I am excited to being a new adventure in second grade!

I love watching baseball, and I especially enjoy watching the Tar Heels play!   I also love to cook, spend time with family and friends, and read.  In November 2016 I married my wonderful husband, Adam, who is a PE teacher at North Drive Elementary and baseball coach at Wayne Country Day.  Adam is also the coah of the Wayne County Legion Team  Together we have a daughter, Lainey.  Lainey and I love to the baseball games together!
