Have a great Summer!!!
I am a native of Wayne County. In 2015, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I have been a Tar Heel all my life and love cheering for the Heels! This is my fourth year as a kindergarten teacher and my fourth year at GKE. Go Wildcats!
I love watching baseball, and I especially enjoy watching the Tar Heels play! I also love to cook, spend time with family and friends, and read. In November 2016 I married my wonderful husband, Adam, who is a PE teacher at North Drive Elementary and baseball coach at Charles B. Aycock High School. In October we will welcome a baby girl to our family!
Hi, I'm a Wilson County girl transplanted into Johnston Co. 24 years ago. I have been married for 39 years to a wonderful man, Aubrey and we are the parents of 2 boys and the grandparents of a 15 year old boy and a 9 year old girl, whom we totally adore. This will be my 24th year being a TA and a bus driver for GKE. I absolutely love my job! Before that I was a stay at home mom to my children until my oldest was in 10th grade and youngest was in 8th. I also kept several other children as well. I am a huge Duke fan to basketball. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. I am excited to get this year started with your little one!
Johnston County Public Schools will begin using Here Comes the Bus in the 2019-2020 school year! Here Comes the Bus is a school bus tracking app that gives parents real-time bus location information and alerts to get students to the bus stop on time. The app is expected to roll out by the first day of school, August 26...
The Johnston County Education Foundation has changed its grant process from a three cycle a year process, to a once a year process. The grant deadline will now be November 15th each year and Grant Patrol will be held on the first Wednesday of December.
