Mrs. Beth Tilton

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! This will be my 10th year at GKE. I am excited about partnering with you to help your student be a successful life-long learner and community citizen. As an EC Resource teacher, I will give your students opportunities to develop skills and confidence for learning. I live in Clayton with my husband, James, and we have two amazing adult children, Samuel and Claire, and a wonderful son-in-law, Caleb Metz. My original degree is in Communications/Broadcast Journalism from Carson Newman University. I received my licensure for Elementary Education K-6 from East Carolina University and then added Special Education certification. I enjoy reading, being at the beach, solving word games and puzzles of all kinds, eating out, and anything related to my children. Please contact me if you have concerns or questions during the year. Trades and Classified Job Fair 2023

Johnston County Public Schools will hold it's annual Trades & Classified Job Fair on Saturday, June 24. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Smithfield-Selma High School, 700 M Durwood Stephenson Pkwy, Smithfield, NC 27577.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
