Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to Mrs. Martinez's fifth grade class. I am very excited to have you in my class this year!!! This is my seventh year teaching and my fourteenth year with Johnston County Public Schools. I have taught one year of kindergarten and five years of first grade, and I am excited for my new adventure in fifth grade this year.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have been married for 6 years. I also have a 11 year old sister, Sarah, who I adore spending time with. My family is everything to me! I also love doing arts and crafts, yard work, participating in my church, and going to the beach.

All offices will be closed on July 4.
Johnston County Public Schools is always striving to provide students and families with exemplary service. In most cases, school bus transportation is essential for many students to access a quality education. In order to meet our daily goal, it is necessary to implement change that enhances and improves our overall operation. As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, JCPS Transportation Services and School Nutrition will be hosting a Summer Information Fair at each high school.
Our district is launching a new portion of our website to further communicate bus delays and replacements with our families. We encourage those who have a student who utilizes our transportation to get to or from school to visit www.johnston.k12.nc.us/busdelays for updates on our school bus routes beginning Tuesday, January 18.
The Johnston County Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the 2022 Johnston County Public Schools salary schedule at their regularly scheduled Dec. 14 meeting.
