Shane Nettles - 8th Grade Science
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year at Archer Lodge Middle School!
This is my 7th year teaching and my 1st year at ALMS. I graduated from North Carolina State University and am a huge Wolfpack fan. I also pull for the Carolina Hurricanes, Carolina Panthers, and the Atlanta Braves. My hobbies include excersise/sports of all types, completing construction projects, and hanging out with my beautiful wife.
Let's make this unprecedented school year great!
Google Classroom will be an extremely important resource for students during the 2020-2021 school year. For security purposes, we will not be posting codes on our teacher websites for students to enroll. Instead, we are inviting students to join their google classrooms via email. BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THESE EMAIL INVITES!

Johnston County Public Schools will be moving to summer office hours on June 13. School and district offices will operate on a four-day work week. All offices will be closed on July 4.
Johnston County Public Schools is always striving to provide students and families with exemplary service. In most cases, school bus transportation is essential for many students to access a quality education. In order to meet our daily goal, it is necessary to implement change that enhances and improves our overall operation. As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, JCPS Transportation Services and School Nutrition will be hosting a Summer Information Fair at each high school.
Our district is launching a new portion of our website to further communicate bus delays and replacements with our families. We encourage those who have a student who utilizes our transportation to get to or from school to visit www.johnston.k12.nc.us/busdelays for updates on our school bus routes beginning Tuesday, January 18.
The Johnston County Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the 2022 Johnston County Public Schools salary schedule at their regularly scheduled Dec. 14 meeting.
