Welcome!
Welcome to 9th grade English! My name is Mary Beth Thompson and I am SO excited to be one of your teachers this year! This is my 16th year with JCPS and my 2nd year at SJHS! I am a native of Four Oaks and a former Trojan myself! I am also a graduate of UNCW where I majored in Middle Grades Education with a minor in English. I live in Smithfield with my husband and our two girls. I know this will be a fabulous year! I am looking forward to getting to know each one of you!

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
