Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Sylvia Baker

Hello my name is Sylvia Baker.  I am excited to have your child in my classroom this year! This my second year at Cooper Elementary.  I was a teacher assistant and bus driver for seventeen years in Johnston County before returning to college and earning my BS degree in education from ECU in 2007.  Becoming a teacher was a lifelong dream that began when I was in first grade.  I hope I can "light that candle" for another small child and watch them foster that flame as they too acheive their goals.
