Mrs. Dodd

Hi!  My name is Mrs. Sherry Dodd and I love teaching children!  I have been teaching at Four Oaks Elementary for a long time.  I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade and Third Grade.  This is my second year teaching second graders and I absolutely love it!  I am married with three children.  We have a Maltese and I love to read.  I enjoy going to all my children's activities and going to the beach.  I like getting pedicures, chocolate, the color pink, and spending time with my family.  My goal is to help students reach their goals in learning!

  • I hope you are all staying safe during this time!

    I miss you all!!!

Here are some general everyday activities your child can do while at home!

    Read for 20 minutes everyday.

Answer your reading response questions about what you read. (These are in your Take Home Folder.)

Practice reading your Wall Words and practice spelling them.

Write in a journal whenever you can about your day, your feelings, and anything you choose.  Draw a picture to go with your writing if you’d like to.

Practice math facts, (Make flash cards if you need to.)

Work on addition and subtractions fasts using two and three digit numbers. Examples: 56+32, 245+131

    Practice counting money.

Practice telling time to 5 minutes. Examples: 4:15, 7:40

Practice measuring items around the house using inches and then using centimeters.

Do Lexia, Freckle, and Imagine Math. (You can use your QR Codes to get on these programs.)

Do Prodigy.  I have students’ usernames and passwords if they do not remember them.
