Mrs. Maria Isaza
Welcome to Mrs. Maria’s Class!
This is a place to learn, to embrace challenges, to have fun, and to develop the Four Language Domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It is also a safe place where critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity are intentionally taught as vital 21st Century Skills. Here we embrace the Growth Mindset. We know that hard work, perseverance, and determination lead us to success. We also know that mistakes are opportunities. We have a lot of fun while academic rigor is a must.
I studied Modern Languages at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia and I have been teaching English for more than 30 years. Teaching is one of my passions. I am fully convinced that we can teach language through content and content through language. It is a call to work with children by supporting them to develop their full potential as human beings, readers, and writers.
