Mrs. Leslie Smith

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Leslie Smith

Hello everyone,

My name is Leslie Smith and I am a art teacher at Four Oaks Elementary. I have been teaching here since the fall of 1987 and I love it. I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in art education. It is my belief that creativity is important for a child’s mental growth and is also a catalyst of invention. Children need to be able to create using their own ideas and skills to reach higher level thinking. Visual art is one of those catalysts. In my art class students engage in lessons that broaden their thinking about different cultures and the natural world. It is a pleasure to serve this community. See you in the art room!
