Mrs. Ann Tart
Welcome to my school webpage!
I teach beginner violin to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students at the following schools:
Meadow School, Four Oaks Elementary, Benson Elementary, Dixon Road Elementary, McGee's Elementary, South Smithfield Elementary, West Smithfield Elementary, and Selma Elementary.
We meet for one class each week during enhancement time. At the end of the year, usually in May, we have a small concert to showcase the students and all they have accomplished.
Parents are responsible for purchasing a violin for their child. This will be your only expense. Some great beginner violins may be found at amazon.com. I recommend a 1/2 or 3/4 size violin. (If your child is smaller than average, please order a 1/2 size.)

I will let you know when classes begin. I try to allow two to three weeks for parents to purchase the violin, so classes will probably begin mid-September. I will send home a note with location, day, and time of our first class. Please send an email with any questions! anntart@johnston.k12.nc.us
