I was born and raised in New York.  

I attended Hampton University for my undergraduate studies.  I attended NC State for my graduate studies- Go Wolfpack!  

I have been teaching since 2003, and this will be my 8th year teaching in Johnston County Public Schools.  

I am married with 3 children.
