Mrs. Jennifer Ann Barber
Welcome! My name is Jennifer Ann Barber. My first job is being a wife and a mother of 2 children. I have been teaching in Johnston County Public Schools for 18 years. I am excited to join West View Elementary School. My teaching experience includes second, third and fifth grade. My passions include integrating technology, flexible learning styles, growth mindset, and giving the children a love for reading through the Media Center! Plus I have an obsession with picture books! My favorite from my childhood is Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs! My mom would always take me to the public library. Fond memories of climbing a spiral staircase with a load of books are held dearily in my heart! The librarian was always kind to let me exceed the book amount for checkout..it is amazing that I am now a librarian! My other favorite is After the Fall (How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again)by Dan Santat. If you haven't read it..you MUST! Favorite chapter books..anything by Alan Gratz.
