Mrs. Amy Crute
I have been teaching for 29 years; 27 of which have been at East Clayton. I have taught pre-k, second grade and Kindergarten. I went to Meredith College and majored in Child Development. I am an AIG endorsed teacher.
I grew up in Chase City, Virginia.
I have a wonderful husband, Steve and two awesome boys, Jacob-22 and Jackson-17. We have a 2 cats, Rocket and Shadow and a dog, Erin.
I enjoy going to the beach. I love Disney World and Disney movies. I enjoy going to the pool and watching my children play sports, especially baseball. My family enjoys going to area sporting events such as Mudcats, Hurricanes, and the Tarheels. We are UVA fans and love to see new MLB teams play. My favorite color is royal blue and I love chocolate.
I believe in a hands-on approach to learning and that learning needs to be fun and meaningful. I encourage children to have a voice in the classroom and to bring their personal experiences to the classroom to enhance our learning.
"The more that you read,
the more things you will know.
The more that you learn,
the more places you'll go."
