I am a graduate of Meredith College.  I am certified in Mathematics in grades 6-12 and also hold an AIG certification.  I have been working in Johnston County for over 20 years now.  I have also taught in Wake County and several other states. Hopefully, we will be back in school soon, and I can meet all of you in person!!!

    We are using Canvas this year to deliver all our message, lessons and content.  You will need to log into your Canvas account.  On the first day of school, your courses should be showing up.  When you open the course, you should see the home page.  On the side, you should see items to click.  You will need to click the module button to open the first module of work.  You will then see items posted that we will be doing that day.

     

    Please make sure to check Power School for grades.  I update every day or two.  Please also check attendance.  Students are required to fill out an attendance ticket each day to show that they were in class that day.

     

     

  • Just a reminder that all work is now posted in Google Classroom.  You should have received an invitation from me to join google classroom.  If you did not receive the invitation, please email me, and I will resend the invitation. 

     Google classroom will contain notes, completed notes, worksheets for practice along with the correct answers and a weekly check-in quiz.  Keep in mind that grades are not being recorded for the quiz.  It is for you to see how well you do and what you may still need to practice.

    I am on-line every day.  My office hours are from 10-12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  I am also available from 2-4 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Just email me with any questions, and I will get back to you with the answer.   • JC Board of Education Special Session meeting set for July 29

    A special called session of Johnston County Board of Education has been called for Thursday, July 29 at 5:00 p.m. in the Evander Simpson Building in Smithfield. The open session portions of the meeting and all announcements will be accessible to the public via the livestream available online.

  • Deadline approaching for Transportation for 2021-22 School Year

    The deadline is quickly approaching for Johnston County Public Schools families who need transportation for their students during the 2021-2022 school year. Students who will be attending Early College or Career Technical Leadership Academy, which will begin on August 2nd, have until July 22nd to request transportation. Students who will begin school on August 23rd have until August 2nd to request transportation. This date is for all other JCPS Schools on the traditional school calendar.

  • Summer Meal Service begins June 7

    As the school year comes to a close, JCPS meal service will now operate at 9 sites during the summer months.

  • JCPS Outdoor Mask Mandate Lifted

    While face masks are still required in all of our indoor facilities, students, staff, and guests of our campuses are no longer required to wear a face covering when outdoors. Students and staff may continue to wear masks when participating in recess or outdoor activities if they choose to do so.

  • 2021-2022 JCPS Preschool applications now open

    The online application for the Johnston County Public Schools Preschool Program is now available. Parents who are interested in the JCPS Preschool Program are encouraged to apply early, as availability is on a first come, first served basis. The application window closes on June 30th.
