Ms. Jayne Hanley

Hello! Welcome to my page. I have been teaching math in Johnston County Schools since 2003.  I graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, and continued on to earn my Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from Western Governor's University. In 2008, I received my National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Math. I am a lifelong learner, who is dedicated to helping my students learn. My goal is to create a classroom where students are comfortable to take risks, ask questions, and learn from their mistakes.

I am originally from Belmar, NJ, a small town on the Jersey Shore. I have an identical twin sister who is also a math educator. Interesting, since neither of us were really excited about math when we were in school. Somehow, we both grew to love it!
