Mrs. Maggie Hatch

I am the Physical Education Teacher at Cleveland Elementary. I graduated from Campbell University, where I was on a basketball scholarship and I am currently in my 15th year of teaching at Cleveland Elementary. I taught 3rd grade for 5 years before moving over to PE. Seeing kids learning new skills and ways to keep their bodies healthy for a lifetime is something I am very passionate about.

Welcome Back!

This year we are on a 7 day rotation for K-3 and 6 day rotation for 4-5. Please check with your child's teacher as to what day in the rotation they will come to PE. It is important for your child to wear tennis shoes so they can participate to the best of their ability. If a student has an injury or can not participate in PE, please send in a note. We are looking forward to an fun filled, healthy year of Physical Education here at Cleveland. Elementary PE focuses on foundational skill building, teamwork, and good sportmanship. 4th and 5th graders will participate in the Cleveland Fitness Tests this year which include: Push Ups, Curl Ups, and the PACER test. For a detailed explanation of these, please refer to the Fitness Testing tab. I can't wait to see these kids at PE!!

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
