Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Briana Hines
My name is Briana Hines and I am the full-time school counselor here at Cleveland Elementary. This is my fifth year here and I am so excited to be part of the Cleveland family! I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Criminology from UNCW and my Master's Degree in School Counseling from UNC-Chapel Hill (GO TARHEELS!). Prior to working as a school counselor, I worked as a preschool teacher and volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem.
Here at Cleveland, you will see me doing many things in order to promote the success and well-being of all of our students. The majority of my time is spent providing classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling sessions, individual counseling sessions, and parent and teacher consultation. You will find more information about these services under the "Counseling Program" tab.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. You can call, email, or stop by my office anytime throughout the day. My door is always open unless I am meeting with a student or parent, or in a classroom. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to an awesome year!
At this time, all traditional high school graduations are still planned for May 29. Graduation ceremonies for Johnston County Early College Academy and Johnston County Career and Technical Leadership Academy will now take place on May 16th, rather than the original date of May 15th.
The Johnston County Board of Education will hold a budget work session on Tuesday, April 27. The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and be held in the Evander Simpson Building in Smithfield.
