Mrs. Rebecka Mercer
CMS Band
Welcome to our 6th graders and welcome back to our 7th and 8th graders! Students that are enrolled in band will receive an email with a Google Classroom invitation. Accept the invitation to enter the virtual classroom and learn more about how band will be structured this year. While we aren't able to play our instruments together and have live performances at this time, we will still work on our playing skills and learn more about music theory and history.

Mrs. Mercer's Bio
I have been teaching band in Johnston County since 2001 and have been at CMS since 2005. I am a native of Wayne County, studied music education at Meredith College, and am a National Board Certified Teacher. Flute is my main instrument, but I know how to play all of the instruments. I enjoy teaching students how to read music, play instruments, and become musicians!
