Practice Record

 

Band apparel can be purchased until Friday, March 29.  This will be the final order placed this year.  You can purchase online (click HERE) or bring cash or check (CMS Band Backers) to school.  Short sleeve shirts are $10, long sleeve shirts are $15, and hoodies are $20.  Jazz Band polo shirts can also be purchased for $20.

 After school practices (optional) will be held every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15.  Students should be picked up in the staff parking lot on the left side of the school. 

 

Jazz Band will rehearse Tuesday mornings from 7:00-7:40 and Thursday afternoons from 3:15-4:15.  For the morning rehearsals, students may only enter the school through the band room door.   Students should be dropped off (Tuesdays) and picked up (Thursdays) from the staff parking lot.

Clayton Middle offers band as an elective class that meets during the school day.  Sixth grade band performs in two concerts a year.  Seventh grade band adds the opportunity to perform with the pep band as well as audition for All-County and All-District bands.  Eighth grade band adds community and pep rally performances as well as a trip to Busch Gardens.   

Hello! I have been teaching band at CMS since 2005. I am a native of Wayne County, and studied music education at Meredith College. I enjoy teaching students how to read music, play instruments, and become musicians!
