Welcome! Here is the best way to stay in touch this year:
My science classes will be using google classroom as the primary way both parents and students can keep tabs on what we are doing in class. Students can join the appropriate class now using the class codes below, and parents will receive an invitation to receive class updates after the first week of school via email. Parents signing up to receive classroom updates will be able to choose the frequency of the updates, and can view late assignments, upcoming assignments, and class announcements. I plan to post frequent updates to google classroom summarizing what we have done in class, along with with links to any notes, handouts, etc.

After growing up in Columbus, Ohio, my wife Katie and I moved to NC in 2006. Besides spending time with my family I enjoy reading, playing frisbee golf, and strategy games. This is now my 14th year teaching 7th grade Science and coaching track at Clayton Middle, and I'm looking forward to another great year!
As the school year comes to a close, please note that JCPS meal service will now operate at 9 sites during the summer months, rather than the previous 14. Summer meal service will begin Monday, June 1. Curbside meals will be served Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Benson Middle, Clayton Middle, Four Oaks Elementary, North Johnston Middle, Princeton Elementary, Selma Elementary, Smithfield-Selma High, West Clayton Elementary, and West Smithfield Elementary.
Attention parents of 4-year-olds: Are you interested in your child attending a free preschool program? The NC PreK program is designed to provide 4-year-old children with positive early learning experiences that support their development and prepare them for Kindergarten.
JCPS high schools will host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies between Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - Saturday, August 1, 2020. Schools will communicate about specific graduation dates and ceremony times as we get closer to see what restrictions may limit our attendance participation.
There are no upcoming events to display.
