Mrs. Maria Rojas
I am Mrs. Rojas and I am the ESL teacher at Cleveland Middle School and Clayton Middle School. I was born in Puerto Rico, home to beautiful beaches, a festive culture, and amazing food. My parents are from Colombia, land of exotic flora and fauna, home of the Amazon River, and beautiful, happy people. I have been teaching for 14 years, the last 6 years, have been in North Carolina as an EL teacher, and I love it. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with English as Second Language licensure, and hold a Master's Degree from NC State University as a Reading Specialist. I am very happy to teach my wonderful group of English Learners vocabulary, reading, and comprehension skills, among other skills that will help them become successful students. I am very excited to work with your child this year!

Unless the remote learning period is extended beyond January 15th, students will return to the plan that they chose on the Second Semester Choice form on Tuesday, January 19.
