Greer Suggs

English Teacher

Hello, Spartans and Spartan Families!  I'm excited to be teaching English II, Honors Round Table, Honors/ Pre-IB Honors English II, and Year 1 IB DP Literature here at SSS.  I have been teaching in Johnston County Public Schools since 1999, and I have a wide range of experience serving students in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Creative Writing, AVID, and interdisciplinary education.  I have a love for literature and learning, and I hope to inspire students to feel the same passion for learning.

I am a married mother of two, and we have a pair of strange cats and a handsome and rambunctious dog.  One of my own children is a scholar athlete here at SSS and she's also a member of the Spartan Regiment.  My older daughter is starting her studies at Appalachian State this fall.  Our family enjoys watching NWSL games and we kayak when we can, but I'm happiest when hiking deep in the woods.

Check out these summer reading links posted below or go to the SSS website to find your assignment.  Summer reading assignments are due on the first day of the fall semester.
