Hello, Spartans and Spartan Families! I'm excited to be teaching English II, English III, and Year 1 IB Literature this year. I have been teaching in Johnston County Public Schools since 1999, and I have a wide range of experience serving students in ELA, Social Studies, Creative Writing, AVID, and interdisciplnary education. I have a love for literature and learning, and I hope to inspire students to feel the same passion for learning.
I am a married mother of two, and we also have a pair of strange cats and a handsome and rambunctious dog. My family and I spend lots of time at SSS, as both of my kids are scholar athletes and members of the Spartan Regiment. We love watching NC Courage soccer, and we kayak when we can, but I'm happiest when hiking deep in the woods at Clemmons State Park or in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.
A note about summer reading: Use this summer reading assignment link or go to the SSS website to find your assignment. Summer reading assignments are due on the first day of school.
