The 2021-2022 school year will be my 11th year teaching and my 7th year at Polenta! This will be my second year in 2nd grade. The previous 5 years were in 1st grade. I previously taught 2nd grade during the 4 years I taught in New York before moving to North Carolina. I hold my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Long Island University/C.W. Post. I attended Adelphi University and received my Master's Degree in Literacy Education. I was inducted into Alpha Upsilon Alpha Honor Society-International Literacy Association. I have attended Math Foundation Training. As well as, training in instructional strategies to support language and literacy development for ELL students.
Johnston County Public Schools is now offering a Substitute Teacher Temporary Incentive Pay Plan for substitutes.
At their August meeting, the Johnston County Board of Education voted 4-3 to make face coverings required indoors in all Johnston County Public Schools campuses and on all buses for students, staff, and guests. This updated mask requirement is effective immediately.
