Ms. Stacie Lester
Welcome to 2nd Grade!
The 2022-2023 school year will be my 12th year of teaching and my 8th year at Polenta! I have previously taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade. I am originally from Long Island, NY and moved to North Carolina 7 years ago. I hold my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Long Island University/C.W. Post. I attended Adelphi University and received my Master's Degree in Literacy Education. I was inducted into Alpha Upsilon Alpha Honor Society-International Literacy Association. I have received training in instructional strategies to support language and literacy development for ML (multi-language) students. I'm passionate about helping all of my students succeed, and become confident life-long learners!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and my dog Bailey. I also enjoy traveling, going to the beach, gardening, crafting, baking and trying new foods.
I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting school year!
