I am one of the Speech-Language Pathologists serving students at Polenta Elementary for the 2019-2020 School Year. I worked in private practice for 2 years and this is my 20th year with Johnston County Public Schools. I worked at Cleveland Elementary for 9 years and this is my 11th year at Polenta. I love being a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist and enjoy working with elementary students of all ages and ability levels.
Monthly Speech/Language Activities for Home Practice
Listening: Parent, place 6 common objects (ex. spoon, bag, toy car, etc.) on a table. Say, “Put the spoon (on, in, under….) the bag” for your child to follow the direction.
Speaking: Help your child name 10 things used during the winter.
