Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Mia Pollard

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! This is my third year teaching EC Self-Contained and I couldn’t be more exciting. I began my teaching career in 2019 at Polenta in the life skills classroom, then moved to Wake County and taught an ID-Severe classroom. I am happy to have moved back home to Johnston County and come back to my “home” school, Polenta.
When I’m not teaching, I can usually be found cuddled up with my pup watching the latest Netflix recommendation, in a Starbucks drive thru, or strolling the dollar section at Target.
In the midst of world chaos, I hope I can provide a safe space for our students and I look forward to working with you to do so. I can’t wait to see what this year brings!
