Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education

Mrs. Malisa Jones

I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading.  This is my eighth year teaching and it is my seventh year at Polenta Elementary.  I have taught 3rd grade for 4 years and first grade for 3 years. I am very excited to be in first grade again this year.  I am passionate about reading and strive to instill a love of reading and learning in every child.  I am pleased to be working with your child this year and look forward to seeing them succeed in 1st grade.

A Little About Me:

I am married and have 3 beautiful daughters. We have 2 dogs named Duke & Bandit. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, gardening, and going to the beach. Some of my favorite things are coffee, chocolate, flowers, and children's books.
