Hello, my name is Janet Marsland and I am excited about teaching your child this year! This is my 13th year teaching at Polenta Elementary. I have taught Second Grade and Dual Language Kindergarten here at Polenta. This is my 4th year teaching Kindergarten Dual Language. I am a graduate of Nova Southeastern University, with a degree in Elementary Education. In addition, I have received my Master's in Reading from Nova Southeastern University. I have been teaching for sixteen years. I also have owned a Montessori school and taught pre-school and kindergarten. I love teaching my students how to read and become independent readers! I have 2 children, ages 28 and 26. I live with my husband and 2 golden retrievers, Sophie and Hatfield.

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
