Degrees and Certifications:
I am from Raleigh, North Carolina. I attended the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, North Carolina and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching for eight years. I started my career in Duplin County as a middle school teacher. Since then, I have moved to Johnston County and have been at Polenta for six years. I have further advanced my teaching skills by completing Math Investigations Cohort Trainings. These seminars allow me to implement creative methods of teaching and instill a love for math in my students. I am also currently pursuing my National Boards and AIG Certifications. I am very excited about these certifications, as it will enhance the learning of all my students. I have fulfilled my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher and I am looking forward to a great year!
