Masters Degree in Elementary Education

Mrs. Carol Cosetti

Hello, I am excited to start my third year at Polenta Elementary as your child's fifth grade ELA and Social Studies teacher! As a graduate of Wilmington University located in Delaware, I hold a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. This will be my 20th year in education and I have extensive reading intervention experience as a former Wake County Intervention Specialist. To foster each childs' potential and abilities, I will consistently incorporate Growth Mindset strategies into my classroom and teaching methods. I look forward to getting to know your child, how they best learn and also building a positive relationship with them!

I enjoy sipping coffee first think in the morning (I make at home so kcups are always nice), I also enjoy Pepsi the rest of the day.

My favorite candy is just about anything chocolate, but I also enjoy black licorice (especially Good & Plenty)

Snacking on Veggie Straws is a favorite while watching my favorite tv shows.

If I could wish for anything for my classroom, it would be dry erase markers, post-it notes, pencils, baby wipes, paper towels, clear tape for our dispensers, index cards, thank you notes and AAA batteries for our reading flashlights!
