Mrs. Jackie Tingen

Hello and thanks for stopping by!

This is my sixth year teaching technology at Dixon Road Elementary, but my 17th year in education. Previously, I have taught both 2nd and 5th grades in Wake and Johnston Counties. I have also worked with youth educational programs through the YMCA and 21st Century Community Learning Centers. I am a proud graduate of Campbell University and Appalachian State. I live in Benson with my husband, Will and two kiddos. Mason is in third grade and Adelyn just started Kindergarten! To support our parents, students, and teachers, I have stepped out of the classroom this year and am available to help with any tech or distance learning assistance you may need throughout this new adventure of virtual learning!

  • Updated Social Distancing Procedures

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
