Mrs. Butcher
Welcome to Mrs. Butcher's Class
Welcome to 4th Grade! I am so excited to start this school year with you. Although we are starting off the school year a bit unusual, we are still going to have a great year filled with fun and many awesome learning experiences. In no time at all we will be a thriving 4th grade classroom family. I can not wait to begin!
To start, I would like to tell you a little about myself. My name is Teresa Butcher and this is my 15th year teaching at West View! Yes, this has been home to me since the day the door opened. Before West View opened, I spent a year at Cleveland Elementary. Before moving to North Carolina in 2004, I taught in Massachusetts. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade. Fourth grade is a new adventure for me and one that I am super excited about.
I have been married to Mr. Butcher for twenty five years! We have three great kids! Jordan is 23, Weston is 21, and Mason is 18. In October of 2019 we were blessed with our first grandchild, Jax. He has been the most amazing addition to our family. We also got another new addition this summer. Her name is Piper and she is now an almost five month old black lab. She is a very sweet and active little girl. We also have another dog named Chelsea and three cats. Their names are Puss, Phil, and Jim. Mr. Butcher and I love spending time at the beach together with our family and friends. We did a lot of that this summer and loved every minute of it.
I can not wait to meet each and every one of you! It is very important to me that the lines of communication between school and home is a close one. Please do not ever hesitate to contact me for any reason. We are a team with a shared goal, your child's education!
Sincerely,
Teresa Butcher, NBCT
