Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kari Barnes
I am so excited to have you in my class this year! I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I am originally from Sneads Ferry, N.C. and moved to Garner N.C. in 2007. I graduated from Meredith College in 2005 with a degree in Child Development and Birth through Kindergarten teaching license. I taught Pre-K for five years before staying at home with my two amazing daughters Kenadi and Ella. I just got married this summer to my husband Jason, and this gave me two more wonderful stepchildren named Jayden and Addison. They all keep me busy outside of school, and I will probably see you at the softball/soccer field or at dance recitals around the area. I returned to teaching the 2015-2016 school year when a wonderful opportunity came to teach kindergarten here at West View Elementary. I am thoroughly enjoying the students, families, and teachers at West View.
Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Wendy Ryan
I am so excited to begin my 12th year as a Kindergarten TA here at West View with you and your little one! I would like to tell you a little about myself. Mr. Ryan and I are originally from Albany, NY and moved to Clayton, NC in 1998 after finishing college. My Degrees in Landscape Architecture and Contracting are what originally brought me to North Carolina. I left my landscaping career in the past and decided to stay home with my two boys while they were babies. Once they were of school age or closer to starting school I thought that working with little ones is where I belong! I have been married to Mr. Ryan for 20 years and have two boys! Liam is 18 years old and is a freshman at UNC Wilmington studying Marine Biology. Casey is 15 years old and a sophomore at Cleveland High School. I am sure you will see us around town especially if you are near a baseball field where Casey plays for Clevelad High School! We have a new puppy named Charlie. He is part Border Collie and Jack Russell Terrier or also know as a Border Jack. WE are completely smitten with him! We absolutely LOVE living in North Carolina, especially the Greater Cleveland Area!!!!!!!!
