Ms. Laura Costa

I graduated from East Carolina University in 1993, with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I continued my education and received my Master's in 1994. I taught third grade at Cooper Elementary for 2 years. I taught second grade at East Clayton Elementary for 9 years before becoming a Dixon Road Dragonfly. I have enjoyed teaching both second and first grades here at Dixon Road. I have been teaching in Johnston County Schools over 20 years. I live in the Dixon Road community and have 2 sons who attended Dixon Road and are now at West Johnston High School.

    2:15-2:30 DEAR independent reading time

    2:30-3:00 Team Time

    3:05-3:35 Recess

    3:40- Dismissal begins

  • Graduation Ceremony Information

    At this time, all traditional high school graduations are still planned for May 29. Graduation ceremonies for Johnston County Early College Academy and Johnston County Career and Technical Leadership Academy will now take place on May 16th, rather than the original date of May 15th.

  • Board of Education Meeting set for April 7

    The April Johnston County Board of Education meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7. The virtual meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m and will be conducted via Zoom To Comply With Social Distancing Orders. Members of the public make access the meeting via livestream.
