Ms. Joanne Moore

Ms. Moore is in her 5th year teaching preschool at Dixon Road Elementary School, but has been teaching preschool for 26 years.

Ms. Moore has taught preschool in Wake and Johnston counties and also works with the Partnership for Children of Johnston County during the summer.

Ms. Moore has a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Mount Olive.

She lives in Garner with her 2 daughters, Samantha, 19, and Emily, 11.  She has another daughter, Victoria, 25, who is married and has 3 children of her own.  Her grandsons are Branson, 9, Toby , 6 and Blayden, 3.

Ms. Moore loves teaching preschool and working with the Dixon Road families!

  • Summer Meal Service begins June 1

    As the school year comes to a close, please note that JCPS meal service will now operate at 9 sites during the summer months, rather than the previous 14. Summer meal service will begin Monday, June 1. Curbside meals will be served Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Benson Middle, Clayton Middle, Four Oaks Elementary, North Johnston Middle, Princeton Elementary, Selma Elementary, Smithfield-Selma High, West Clayton Elementary, and West Smithfield Elementary.

  • Graduation Plans Announced

    JCPS high schools will host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies between Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - Saturday, August 1, 2020. Schools will communicate about specific graduation dates and ceremony times as we get closer to see what restrictions may limit our attendance participation.
